Year 6 are studying ‘Rose Blanche’ by Roberto Innocenti and are learning all about WWII. This is in preparation for writing a wonderful narrative story inspired by the book.
Today Y6B participated in bringing an image from the text alive in which a Jewish boy escaped transportation out of his town but ran straight into the Mayor and Nazi soldiers.
The students thought tracked the thoughts and feelings of the characters to aid their understanding prior to their writing assignment.
