In Science, Years 3A and 3B are learning about ‘Light and Dark’. Light is a source of energy which enables us to see things immediately. When a light source is blocked by opaque objects, a shadow is created.
The Year 3 pupils were blindfolded and experienced what it was like to be in darkness and not be able to see anything. They had to find either a fork or a spoon, together with a bowl of fruits. Then they had to pick up a piece of fruit and identify what fruit it was. All this while they were blindfolded.
The pupils had fun while learning and appreciating how difficult it is without light and sight. To show appreciation, they also use their vision to draw the nature around them.
